Just in case you haven’t heard about it, there is going to be a Belly, Birth & Baby Expo this Saturday (March 20) from 10-5 at the Lethbridge Lodge. Why am I telling you this? Well because I am going to be an exhibitor! I am going to be there all day so I am hoping that lots of my clients and friends (and future client/friends) come visit me!
I am really excited both for my own table as well as for the opportunity to check out all the resources for us moms/mamas to be. There is going to be a kids fashion show as well as a baby wearing fashion show and lots of shopping! Admission is only $1 so you have no excuse not to come!

I was so excited to work with Charlotte, I really wanted to get some girly images with some of my new headbands as well as the cute girly things that Charlotte’s mom brought along…. sigh… it is so much fun to dress little girls up isn’t it? 
This is just a sneak peek and I have to say I really struggled trying to decide which images to show… I love them all! She is just too darn cute!
I love these mother and daughter portraits, I am sure they will both treasure these in the future. I know that sometimes the last thing moms feel like when they are postpartum is being in portraits, but I think it is so worth the effort it takes to get dressed and ready because you will never have this time back again, and one day you will look back and think how glad you are to have photos like these. I have one like this of me and Parker when he was a newborn and it is truly one of my favorite images ever (thanks Danna!).
I am loving this one in color, this is one of my new favs! Charlotte was 5wks old when I took these, and I love how she has the chub that you don’t see yet on really new newborns. She slept so well for being so old, I was thinking we would be doing all awake photos but nope, she was a great little napper!
and of course I have to show an awake one… we wanted her to wear a cute knit hat that matched the pink but she was done being dressed up, happy to just be swaddled.

It’s been awhile since I posted, I took the month of January off and it was a much needed break. I have some exciting news but I’ll wait a bit longer to share that on the blog. In the meantime, I thought I’d share a few images from a recent session with a darling baby girl named Emerson, 6 days old.
This little sweetheart was full of smiles, I like to think it’s cause she was enjoying herself!
…and one of her awake. She didn’t open her eyes much, still so young that she liked to keep them closed, but I thought this one was really sweet.

Happy New Year! I hope all my clients and blog readers had a wonderful Christmas. I have some exciting things planned for 2010 so I hope you’ll stay tuned in to the blog. I thought I’d add some images from my last newborn session of 2009. This little guy was so adorable.
I love that we got some calm awake ones, so precious! This one is definitely my favorite…
and of course you know I love the sleepy ones too…
With big brother… it’s not often easy to get a good sibling image at a newborn session when the siblings are close in age but I think we were successful!
