So I am a little behind in posting this, but I wanted to have images to show along with just the words!
Mason Zachary was born on August 15. He was 8lbs, 13oz (way bigger than I anticipated!) and 20 3/4″. A whole pound and a half bigger than his older brother was, he has already grown out of the newborn clothes I bought him
but at least we know he is healthy!
He is a sweet little boy who naps really well for me, which is the only reason I actually have had time to edit these images and get them uploaded! As you can imagine I have taken a lot of photos, but I’ll try to narrow them done to a manageable few to share here. Poor little guy probably thinks there is nothing more to life than photo sessions!
5 days old…

9 days old…

13 days old…

and of course with his big brother…

I can’t resist just one of big bro alone… taken a few days before his second birthday, I can’t believe my baby is 2 already!

For the past few months my husband and I have been having a hard time choosing a name for our baby, and we only have a couple weeks left! A friend of mine sent me the link to the Service Alberta website, and I am finding it to be very helpful. I love how you can see exactly how many Johns or Janes there were each year for the past 9 years in Alberta. It is really interesting to me how a name that is way far down in popularity on the American websites is in the top 10 for popularity in Alberta, weird!
I figured that since the majority of my blog readers are either expecting parents or parents of young children (who might one day have more) I would share this link. I hope you find it helpful!

This little guy was so sweet, he really made me excited to meet my own little one very soon… I thought I’d share a sneak peek for his mom and dad.

I think I caught him pre-sneeze?

I had to try out this hat that I picked up at the birth, belly and baby expo (from Lots of Knots). I don’t have a lot of baby boy hats/props but I thought this one was cute.

and one more… such good eye contact for such a new little guy!

This really was one of my favorite sessions ever… who could complain about a perfectly happy baby who was very patient and let her mom and I try on outfit after outfit and prop after prop? Eventually she did tell us that she was done but not before we got an awesome variety of adorable images. I can’t pick a favorite, I really love them all - so this is going to be a big sneak peek…

Her expressions in these last two just crack me up so I had to include them…

Laren just turned 8 months old when we did our session and I have to say it, this is my favorite age (well this and very new newborns). I just LOVE the 7-10 month range; when they are sitting up but not yet walking. In fact I love it so much that I am currently discounting the session fee for this age range, so if you have a baby in this stage don’t hesitate to book an appointment, you will not be disappointed!

This is the fourth time I’ve done a session for this family, and they just keep getting cuter! It’s hard to believe that last time I photographed them the littlest guy Max was just a newborn and his sisters were busy preschoolers. Now Max is the (very) busy toddler and his sisters are perfect little models who love letting me take their pictures.
I just LOVE cuddly sibling shots, those are my absolute favorite. I love the connections and the relationships…

I am so pleased with what I got from this session, it was so hard to narrow it down for a sneak peek but I know that Mom is dying to see these so I figured I’d just pick a few and get them online! You would never know from the photos that we were all being eaten alive by mosquitoes - they were absolutely awful! No respect for bug spray!
